How it works

Seasonal color analysis groups people into twelve types based on undertone (warm or cool), depth (light or deep) and clarity (soft or bright). This finder asks a few simple questions about each, then shows the season your answers point to and a starter palette.

Warm or cool comes from your jewelry, white paper and vein answers plus one forced choice. Then the finder looks at four qualities: light, bright, soft and deep. The strongest quality picks your season; if none stands out, you get a True season. Different systems exist, so treat the result as a framework, not a fact.

Frequently asked questions

Is seasonal color analysis scientific?

It is a popular styling framework, not a scientific measurement. It is useful for narrowing down colors to try, and results can differ between systems and consultants.

What is the difference between undertone and season?

Undertone is warm, cool, neutral or olive. A season adds depth and clarity to that, which gives twelve types instead of four.

Do I need the undertone calculator first?

No. The finder asks the undertone questions it needs. The calculator simply goes deeper into undertone alone.
