Skin undertone calculator

Answer 8 quick questions in daylight, without makeup, and see whether your undertone is warm, cool, neutral or olive.

Runs in your browser. No account, no uploads.

How it works

Your undertone is the subtle color beneath the surface of your skin, and it stays the same when you tan. This calculator combines eight simple checks (wrist veins, jewelry, a white sheet of paper, sun reaction and color draping) and shows the type your answers point to, how confident the result is and the colors worth trying first.

Each answer adds points to warm, cool, neutral or olive. The type with the most points is your result. If the top two are close, we tell you the result is mixed instead of pretending to be certain. No tool can be 100% accurate, so treat this as a strong hint and confirm it by holding fabrics near your face in daylight.

Frequently asked questions

Is this calculator accurate?

It is a helpful guide, not a measurement. Results are most reliable when you answer in natural daylight without makeup and choose "not sure" when you cannot tell.

Does my undertone change when I tan?

No. A tan changes your surface tone for a while, but the undertone underneath stays the same.

Are my answers or photos stored?

No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you choose or upload leaves your device.
